Marmalade pet care is a pet product design firm that emphasizes 'good design' in every aspect of its products: designed for pets, accounting for aesthetics, function, renewable/recyclable materiality, efficient, local production and made in the USA! Marmalade Pet Care values innovation and the creation of uncommonly appealing pet products through good design.

Rooted in our personal backgrounds, Marmalade pet care’s ethic resides in the desire to create a socially responsible company that has a genuine appreciation for the welfare of all animals and the environment. We seek to improve the quality of life for all animals: from pets who have loving homes, extending to those in rescue shelters as well. Marmalade pet care offers support to animal organizations though partnerships and participation in charitable events. Environmental needs are addressed though ‘good-design’ practices: domestic sourcing; sustainable materials; efficient production and eventual recyclablility of the product.

The Cheeky Chaise is a tribute to this ideology as its materiality, free flowing ergonomic curves and scale are harmoniously attuned especially towards its user, (cats), and admired by its observers. Marmalade pet care scratcher beds are made with recycled materials, (35% minimum post-consumer), utilizing renewable and recyclable wood products creating a healthier lifestyle for you, your pet and the environment!

The adhesives used in our products are non-toxic (ASTM-D 4236).

High-quality materials and construction for superior durability. Heavy weight inner-corrugate creates a durable scratching surface while lightweight outer walls allow for even wear as the inner-corrugate is removed.

Individual cardboard outer walls are ‘eased’ at the edges to cushion your cat’s paws. True furniture pieces: quality handmade construction finished with hardboard end-panels. Scratcher bed is 100% recyclable at the end of its life cycle.

Our eco-conscious branding and ideals are also found in our packaging, minimalist black typography and graphics on kraft cardboard, an elegant translation of utilitarian furniture boxes, functionally protective, efficiently produced and 100% recyclable.
