BeadforLife eradicates extreme poverty by creating bridges of understanding between hard working and impoverished Africans and North Americans who want to create a world that works for all. Ugandan women turn colorful recycled paper, into beautiful beads. This beauty becomes income, food, medicine, school fees, and hope. It is a small miracle. Our members are women with children living on less than two dollars a day. Many have fled the war in Northern Uganda. Others live with HIV or other serious health challenges. They are incredibly welcoming, hard working, resilient, and creative.

What can we say . We love the people who make our eco-conscious products. Many of the manufacturers featured on eConscious Market are pioneers. They have invented new ways of making products that take into consideration the people who make them, the people who use them, other animals and the planet.

Our vendors have risen to the challenge of creating products that are cleaner, greener, and more accessible. They fought against odds to rise above the profit-driven ethos that permeates our culture and to use their innovations to create a green transformation.

Our vendors make everything from organic cotton bedding, mattresses, eco-furniture made of sustainably harvested or recycled materials, stylish bamboo and cashmere clothing to laptop bags made out of recycled billboards, fair trade jewelry made of reused magazines, outdoor gear, non-toxic baby toys, natural body care, recycled glassware, toothbrushes made from recycled yogurt containers, and much more!

This is where you eco shop. These are the people to thank.
