Just in time for the heat of the summer we're thrilled to introduce our new 100% eco-friendly Fair Trade flip flops! Produced at the same Fair Trade facility as our sneaker collection, our new Ethletic flip flops are made from unique all natural fairly traded FSC-certified rubber.

Each pair comes with a convenient carrying draw-string bag made from 100% organic cotton. Comfy, cool, and cute, these sandals are truly the ultimate in ethical summer fashion!

A Fair Trade premium is paid to the workers at both our production facilities in Sri Lanka and Pakistan which helps support community health and welfare projects.

Certified by the Fair Labeling Organization and the Forest Stewardship Council.

Autonomie
The Forest Stewardship Council (or FSC) is an international organization that promotes responsible use and management of our world's forests. Any product bearing the FSC logo is a third party certification that the forest product producers are managing their trees in a sustainable and environmentally-healthy way.

You may have noticed that many paper products (particularly marketing materials and mailings) as well as wood products at The Home Depot are bearing the FSC mark. While our shoes aren't made of paper or wood, each pair has the FSC logo stamped on the sole. That's because the rubber that the sole is made of comes from an FSC sustainable forest. Not only is the latex all natural with no added man-made chemicals like typical rubber, the trees the rubber is tapped from our cared for so that they will stand, tall and healthy in the future.

What is Fair Trade or FLO, you ask? The Fair Labeling Organization (or FLO) is an international third party monitoring and accreditation organization that certifies products made under Fair Trade principles. Since the production of our shoes is certified by FLO, that means:

*We do not use child labor

*All adult workers are paid a fair wage

*Workers have access to health care and other benefits like a micro credit program

*There are reasonable working hours and no forced overtime

*The working environment is safe and healthy

*The workers have the right and means to organize and bargain collectively
